Bonus Post
For my next blog post, I wanted to revisit the reason for this blog in the first place. Seeing as summer is coming up, I wanted to talk to you guys about my personal favorite summer beer, Victory's Summer Love. This light-bodied ale casts a golden hue reminiscent of the summer sun shining high above the City of Philadelphia. It isn't quite as strong as an IPA, but still has that bite in it that is incredibly refreshing on a warm summer day.

Response to My Last Posting
First, I would like to say thank
you to all of my readers that responded to my open thread. I realize that your
time is valuable, and I hope that you chose to respond to my blog because it
peaked your interest. When doing this blog post, I was hoping to relate to my
fellow readers, as well as the age group that I am in.
Personally, I sacrifice
flavor for price all of the time. My favorite domestic (which I have stated in
my past blog posts) is Yuengling. The good thing about Yuengling is that it is
not only a cheaper priced beer, but I personally think that it is delicious. Be
sure to keep up with my blogs to see what else is coming up from “Pairing Good
Food with Great Beer”!

What Beer Do You Drink?
Being a college student in a college town, I know that we as students are on a budget when it comes to drinking throughout the week. Students tend to sacrifice taste for price pretty frequently.
My question to you guys is which cheap beer do you prefer to drink when going out? I have narrowed the list down to domestics, mid-shelf drafts as well as just plainly cheap beer. Your feedback would be very helpful, so just let me know what you think!!
Cheap Options
1. Natural Light/Ice
2. Genuine Light
3. Keystone Light
1. Miller Light
2. Bud Light
3. Yuengling
Mid-Shelf Drafts
1. Blue Moon
2. Shock Top
I know that all of these are probably drank by most college students, but I am looking for the beer that you and your friends drink the most frequently. All I really need is for you to just reply with the name of the beer from these 8 choices. Thanks guys!

Dirt Wolf
When thinking about my next blog post, the first thing I considered was what beer I wanted to recommend to you guys this week. Based off of the fact that I am a huge IPA lover (which I'm sure you've all probably figured out by now) I decided to write about another IPA. So, without further ado, I proudly introduce this week's IPA........ Victory Brewing Company's Dirt Wolf Double IPA. The difference between this IPA and Lil' Sumpin Sumpin, is that this is a double IPA. This means that it is a much heavier beer. To better explain, Lil' Sumpin Sumpin is about 7.5% ABV (or percentage of alcohol per bottle), while Dirt Wolf's is around 9% ABV. Now that may not seem like a lot to many of you, but you can definitely taste the difference. Now the question becomes, what food would go well with this? Being that I work at an irish pub, I know from first hand experience that any irish food is a delicious choice when dealing with Dirt Wolf. They pair well because they are hardy, salty meals that usually have a lot of potatoes in them, and the cool sip of Dirt Wolf will help counteract the saltiness. Here is a list of what I think would be appropriate Irish dishes that you as the reader would enjoy:
-Shepherds Pie (Just a good old classic Irish dish)
-Guinness Stew (Get it with a side of bread for dipping and you'll love it)

Buffalo Wings with a Lil' Sumpin
When trying to pick my first food and beer that I felt would pair well together I tried to think of something that everyone could relate too, as well as enjoy while sipping on a cool beer. Seeing as the Super Bowl just past, I figured it would be a good idea to talk about one of America's favorite sports foods as well as bar foods, Buffalo Wings.
Now we all know that Buffalo Wings are a staple in the U.S., and are enjoyed by many Americans on a weekly occurrence primarily in bars. Whenever I get buffalo wings at a bar, I find the best beer to pair them with is typically an IPA. For those of you that do not know, IPA stands for India Pale Ale. IPA's are always higher in alcohol content, and tend to taste a bit "hoppier"than your average domestic. The IPA that I would personally recommend would have to be Lagunitas Lil' Sumpin Sumpin. This is my personal favorite beer, and I really think it goes well with most food, but definitely takes the cake when it comes to Buffalo Wings. This IPA has a really nice bitterness that counteracts with the minor heat that comes from eating Buffalo Wings. It also does a great job of balancing out the saltiness. Finally IPA's go incredibly well with blue cheese, and who doesn't enjoy blue cheese with their Buffalo Wings?
For those that don't necessarily enjoy an IPA with their buffalo wings, my other recommendation would be Yuengling. Yuengling is an American made lager, so it's not as heavy as an IPA but still heavier than a light beer.
So the next time you go out to the bar with your friends and order some delicious Buffalo Wings, be sure to ask for a Lagunita's Lil' Sumpin Sumpin. Not only will you love the paring, but you'll also impress some people with your knowledge of a delicious beer.
